HEP group (Hrvatska elektroprivreda), consisting of 14 connected companies in the electrical energy, heating and gas segment is considered as the strategically most important company fully owned by the Croatian state. It is the first large state-owned company to publish a high-quality sustainability report according to GRI G4 guidelines. H&P team consisting of Daria and Gorana and supported by Andreja, led the reporting process managing a working group of 40 HEP managers. Several workshops were held, using various techniques to discuss the economic, social and environmental context, material issues, stakeholders, aspects and indicators.
The report was publicly presented at the CBCSD AGM held in HEP last week in front of 80-something managers from various companies, including HEP Management Board members. H&P team was publicly commended for consulting excellence. Composing the report was very challenging, especially in terms of covering an enormously large system facing various market, regulatory, political, structural, investment and other issues, as well as dealing with sensitive data.
The experts’ opinion is that this is the most extensive report ever published in our country. The client is very happy and we continue to support HEP in creating a sustainability strategy and composing the new report. You can take a glimpse at our work at the link below (especially valuable part starts at pg 50 – material issues).
H&P Croatia advised and participated in composing five sustainability reports for large companies last year: Cemex, Vipnet, T-HT, OTP banka and HEP. We expect to increase the number of clients in reporting segment this year.
