What do you do when your client faces serious risk issues management on the market? Well, you get creative. New regulation imposing installation of heat measuring equipment in a number of houses and apartments in several Croatian cities did not receive standing ovation among heat energy customers or media. The topic was tricky to address, having already created tons of negative feedback in multiple channels, from mainstream media to social networks.
Therefore, our Croatian team led by Andreja first conducted focus group research to find out details of new heating appliance regulation and then levied the discussion to the open forum. The World Cafe was held under the auspices of the Croatian Chamber of Economy in partnership with the Croatian Association for Green Construction, companies Danfoss, Planetaris, Monel and H&P and with the participation of stakeholders from the state authorities: ministries of economy and construction, Croatian energy market regulator, Fund for Environmental Protection, Energy Institute, customer protection NGO’s, local communities and other stakeholders.
The discussion received significant attention and World Cafe format was praised by the participants. The ultimate objective – to shift the focus from dissatisfaction and problems to advice on energy efficiency methods for households – was achieved.
